We like BudtzBendix for the semi-industrial, and minimally expressed look of their TOWERchair and its companion the changingTOWER. Painted plywood and steel create a refreshingly different and practical aesthetic for children’s furniture.
The TOWER range inherits its design-genes from the Lab Chair, created by Camilla Bendix and Charlotte Budtz for an Architects Journal furniture competition. The pieces are pared-back and versatile, particularly the high chair which is suitable for babies from around six months old, and adapts to fit not-so-little people up to about age six.
